After Preity Zinta registered an FIR against business partner and ex-boyfriend Ness Wadia, for abusing and threatening her during an IPL match on May 30, the police have been busy collecting witnesses and evidences. Reports say that in the course of things, they might have stumbled upon a high profile witness, who was seated in the pavilion that day.
The witness being none other than the young son of cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar - Arjun Tendulkar. Apparently, buzz is that Arjun, who was seated in the pavilion along with Preity and her team, got disturbed by the ongoing fights. News has it that when Arjun asked for some quiet, Ness Wadia, yelled at him too.
The police are investigating this matter to see if there is any truth to it. Meanwhile, police say they have watched the 9 hour long CCTV footage of the match. In the whole 9 hours, they found a 20 second clip to be somewhat useful, though not very clear. They have thus sent it to the labs to improve the quality of the video.
There are also reports that Preity and Ness had three fights on the particular day. One in front of the team staff, second at the pavilion and the third on the ground.
The police have so far recorded statements of IPL COO Sunder Raman and that of Nusli Wadia's personal secretary, who received threatening calls from someone claiming to be gangster Ravi Pujari. IPL chairman Ranjib Biswal also admitted that Preity had verbally complained to him about Ness Wadia.
The lady in question, Preity Zinta, is expected to record her statement soon, say the police.
