Sundar Raman, Indian Premiere League - Chief Operating Officer, recorded his statement on Thursday confirming that Preity Zinta had informed him about her spat with Ness Wadia during the May 30 match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings.
In the statement recorded by the Marine Drive police station, Raman said that Preity verbally informed him about Wadia's behaviour.
Five other statements were recorded on Thursday including that of BCCI employee Ankit Baldi and businessman Danish Merchant, who were said to be present in Garware Pavilion when Wadia allegedly abused Zinta and tried to pull her hand.
According to Mumbai Mirror, DCP Ravindra Shivse said that a few statements confirmed about the incident, but the rest didn’t know about it.
Zinta will arrive in Mumbai soon and will record a supplementary statement as the cops need to clarify several aspects of the case. The police will then recreate the scene and will call Wadia for questioning.
