There has been a lot of speculation in the press regarding Preity’s American friend Gene Goodenough who was in India as one of her eyewitnesses in her ongoing case against Ness Wadia.
A section of the Indian press has declared the good Mr Goodenough as Ms Zinta’s new love interest.
However a close friend of the actress very emphatically denies any romantic association between Preity and her American friend. “Gene is NOT Preity’s boyfriend. He is a very good friend. Preity’s brother and little niece live in the US and she visits them regularly. She therefore has a lot of very good friends in America.”
Chinese whispers abound claiming Preity is looking for an out-of-court settlement with Mr Ness Wadia.
Preity’s friend rules out any compromise on the issue.
“When Preity set out to on this case she was very sure about what she was doing. She is in this for justice. She doesn’t need the publicity. There is no question of backing out. Preity will see this to its logical conclusion,” says the friend.
