It is has been about eight months since Preity Zinta filed an FIR against business partner and ex-lover Ness Wadia for treating her badly. Preity had filed a complaint against Wadia on June 13 at the Marine Drive police station. Her complaint stated that the businessman abused and threatened her inside the Wankhede stadium during the match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings on May 30.
The issue has since dissolved and forgotten by the media. But it is apparently still fresh in the minds of the Wadias.
At the Mumbai auditions of the Gladrags Mrs India 2015 auditions, Ness's mom Maureen Wadia commented on the matter saying, "We are very reclusive people and we seldom talk to the media. Having said that all I want to say is that whatever she has done is completely uncalled for and has left all of us in a very bad taste, apart from this the matter is subjudice and I wouldn't want to talk about the case."
Interestingly, Preity also spoke about the incident in a recent interview to Times of India. She spoke about sitting next to Ness in a recent IPL players' auction last month saying, "Why don't you ask him why he came and sat next to me? What did you want me to do, cut the table into two halves? Kings XI Punjab is my team and I've given everything, my hard-earned money . I gave up on my film career to be part of this."
Preity added, "What happened between me and Ness was unfortunate. But the franchise is my baby and there's no question of me cutting of my involvement with it."
On the work front, Preity is currently busy with IPL and she today unveiled the jersey of Kings XI Punjab.
